Dr. Lucy Corbin is a highly skilled and Board-Certified Audiologist licensed in Pennsylvania, with extensive experience in advanced audiologic assessments, hearing aid fittings following best practices for diverse populations, ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics. Her work emphasizes the critical relationship between hearing and brain health, providing patients with comprehensive care to enhance their overall well-being.
Dr. Corbin is dedicated to transforming the lives of tinnitus patients through comprehensive tinnitus evaluation and effective solutions. She looks at each patient in a holistic manner, considering the interplay of hearing health, cognitive function, and quality of life. She offers compassionate care to those who have been told, “There’s nothing that can be done; you just have to live with it,” helping patients regain hope and improve their quality of life.
Dr. Corbin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology from the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP) in Brazil, where she achieved dual licensure in audiology and speech-language pathology in 2001. She continued her education by obtaining a Doctorate of Audiology from Bloomsburg University and completing her residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, in 2008. In 2015, she trained under Dr. Jastreboff in Tinnitus Retraining Therapy, further deepening her expertise in tinnitus care.
Professionally, Dr. Corbin is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and a past president of the Pennsylvania Academy of Audiology, where she served in various leadership roles, including President-Elect, President, and Past President from 2018 to 2021. Her doctoral research focused on studying the suppression of otoacoustic emissions in marching band musicians, examining the impact of music training on hearing health. This work was later presented at the Pennsylvania Academy of Audiology.
Our Practice
PCC/Assistant PA Hearing & Tinnitus Center was born from a deep-rooted passion for helping individuals regain their hearing and improve their quality of life. Dr. Lucy Tence Corbin, Au.D., founded this practice with a vision to provide exceptional, personalized care tailored to each patient’s unique needs. With years of experience in audiology and a genuine love for her work, Dr. Corbin has created an environment where patients feel valued and understood.
Alongside her is Pam Deem, our dedicated Patient Care Coordinator, who ensures that each visit is smooth and accommodating. Together, we strive to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere where patients can feel comfortable discussing their hearing challenges. Our commitment to concierge care means that we take the time to listen, understand, and develop customized treatment plans that empower our patients to live their best lives.
Personal Life and Hobbies
Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. Corbin enjoys a fulfilling personal life with her family and dedicates time to hobbies such as playing the piano for several local churches and activating Parks on the Air with the help of her local Amateur Radio club. Additionally, she is deeply committed to community service through her involvement with Hearing The Call, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing local and global humanitarian hearing healthcare. This initiative ensures that those who are underserved and under-insured have access to excellent hearing healthcare and opportunities that are often difficult to obtain.
